Farm Safety Camp for Kids a huge success!Thanks to the generosity of countless donors, volunteers, and presenters, Farm Safety Camp for Kids has been a hit once again. Over 100 kids attended the camp on Saturday, July 26 at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Knoxville. Throughout the day, nine safety sessions were held, including the topics of fire, grain bin, First Aid, lawnmower, health, electricity, PTO, pesticides, and emergency preparedness. A mock accident scene took place at the end of the camp, with firefighters, ambulances, policemen, and even a helicopter from St. Francis in Peoria arriving to the rescue. Thanks again for supporting Farm Safety Camp and making it such a great success this year!
Theme Park Tickets Now Available!The Knox County Farm Bureau is selling theme park tickets at a discounted rate. Tickets are available to Six Flags St. Louis and Great America, Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO, Kings Island in Cincinnati, OH, Raging Rivers Water Park in Grafton, IL, Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN, and Adventureland in Des Moines, IA. Knox County Plat books are available for purchase from the Knox County Farm Bureau office or from the Knox County Courthouse. These plat books offer several unique and appealing features such as a School District Map, a County Highway Map, and a Map of Oak Run Subdivision. The price for the new plat books are $30 for members and $35 for non-members, plus tax.
