Adopt a Classroom Visit
Knox County Farm Bureau’s Ag in the Classroom Coordinator, Teresa Sanford, better known as “Ms. Aggie”, visited our Adopted Classroom in Chicago on Monday, December 5th. Students at St. Symphorosa preschool learned about sheep and trees. They learned about items made from wool and were even able to feel wool. Ms. Aggie read a story to the class about a lost mitten, which of course was made out of wool. The students were even able to make their own lamb to take home! Next door, the preschool students learned about different trees, including Christmas trees! The students were also able to make their own Christmas tree on paper by using a fork to paint! Everyone loved that activity!
Ms. Aggie also had helpers that day! Brenda Bliss, of Maquon and Kelly Wagahoff, KCFB Manager, assisted Ms. Aggie with the activities! Ms. Aggie was able to reach out to 42 preschoolers that morning and teach them about agriculture. It was a successful day!
